Victor PEDRA
Between 1975 and 1980 Víctor Pedra studied Fine Arts in the Facultad de Barcelona, which completed with courses of engraving and ceramics in the same faculty. After his studies, the painter traveled between 1980 and 1982 from Europe to complete his formation and began in the sculpture. Over the years, the sculpture took on more importance in his work and in the 90s made his first large format sculptures for outdoor spaces. His artistic concerns will even lead him to collaborate with the sculptor Josep Vilalta-Tor in the design of jewels. In 2003, Víctor Pedra illustrated for Plaza and Janés a collection of 8 books by Isabel Allende. Between 2012 and 2013, Víctor Pedra made new projects such as the decoration of the floor and walls of the church of Alberola in Lleida and the collaboration with Vins de Pedra, a family winery for which he designs the labels of his wines. In 2015 his designs in collaboration with Senyor Estudi for Vins de Pedra were awarded with a bronze Laus. The Laus prizes, have great prestige both at the state and international level and are organized by the FAD. In 2016 Víctor Pedra collaborates with Torrons Alemany n the edition of an illustrated box limited to 2,000 units. Torrons Alemany has been awarded the Great Taste Award, one of the most prestigious delicatessen awards.
