Continuing with the special programming within the framework of the 50th anniversary of Anquins, last Friday, May 19, we inaugurated Archetypes, the exhibition of sculptures by Jesús Curiá.
The artist told details of his works and the presentation of the exhibition was in charge of the historian and art critic Ramón Casalé, author of the texts of the catalogue.
His work
As the historian and art critic Ramon Casalé Soler points out: "The sculptures of Jesús Curiá leave no one indifferent, especially due to the very personal way of representing them, since for him what is most important is to show that the figure human nature is essential when it comes to fusing the past with the present, or what amounts to the same thing, creating a kind of aesthetic attraction that gives the viewer the sensation of finding themselves in a world where reality and the intangible are confused". Bronze and the human figure are the main elements of his works.
The artist
Jesús Curiá has worked with the gallery since 1996 on different occasions.
He is the artist with the most international projection linked to Anquins, having exhibitions on five continents.
