ART WEEK 2023

A new edition of the Art Week in Catalonia was recently held, and Anquins gallery has participated with a special program.

The initiative, created by the Art Galleries of Catalonia, seeks to give visibility to the different visual arts proposals in the territory, making them accessible to all audiences and has celebrated multiple events from November 23 to December 1 2023.

Talk “Guernica Mystery”

On November 23, the artist Pablo Bruera gave a talk about Guernica, being a great student of it, where he revealed details and curiosities. This event paid tribute to Picasso on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death.

Anquins and Francesca Poza in the “Unexpected Visits”

Within the framework of art week, the Art Galleries of Catalonia organized “unexpected visits”, an event that took place simultaneously on November 24 in different museums in the territory, in which all the selected works came from art galleries or warehouses to “infiltrate” next to large museum pieces.

The Anquins Gallery has provided a work by the artist Francesca Poza, which is displayed in the Museum of Modern Art of Tarragona next to a large tapestry by Miró. A project curated by art critic Montse Frisach.

ARTBUS Route, November 25

Saturday morning was full of art! The group toured the two art galleries of Reus, with guided tours and presentations by artists. Then a bus took them to Mas Miró.

The route began with a commented visit to the Antoni Pinyol gallery about the works of Vanesa Muñoz and the presentation of the “Guest Artists” project with the presence of Albert Macaya. It continued with a guided tour in Anquins of the Alejandro Quincoces exhibition, and the presentation of Anton Roca's work by curator Pilar Parcerisas. The artist gave us a performance at the gallery.

Finally, the icing on the cake: the art bus took those attending to visit Mas Miró.
