Marta Duran studied Biology and majored in Botanic. This is why her knowledge of the landscape and flowers goes beyond the purely visual. The energy of vegetals life beats in them, but they also communicate the most intimate personal feelings. At the same time that she acquired a good command of pictorial technique, her oeuvre has been released from academic conventions and has achieved a personal language. The colour and her brushstrokes flow with an intensity and power not intended to describe reality or natural forms but the very essence of the elements that in a special way, in garden and forests, make possible the wonder of natural life.Â
