Anquins Art Gallery presents RES, a solo exhibition by Oriol Texidor inspired by his travels through different territories of the East and his observations of the rituals, gestures and everyday scenes that take place around the sacred spaces of Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism and Islam.
The artist transforms these images and lived experiences into contemporary sculptures made from materials such as burnt wood, gold leaf, copper, concrete, steel and resin.
RES explores the transformation of image into matter and the traces left behind by travel, experience and memory.
